The Fraser Valley Humane Society (FVHS) is an independent non-profit charity founded by a dedicated team of veterinarians during the flood crisis of 1999.
We rely on grants, donations, fundraisers, and the support of local businesses to continue our life-saving work.
Thanks to our valued volunteers, knowledgeable staff, Board of Directors, and local veterinary partners, we are able to rehabilitate, house, feed, medicate, and socialize the cats in our care until they find their forever homes.
Every cat and kitten that comes through FVHS receives:
- A full veterinary exam
- A series of deworming and flea treatments
- Spay/neuter surgery
- Permanent identification (microchip)
- FVRCP vaccination
- A high-quality diet tailored to their individual needs
- Socialization and plenty of TLC before becoming available for adoption
Our Mission
To rescue and care for lost, abandoned, and homeless cats in the Fraser Valley, BC, providing them with safety, medical care, and the chance to find loving homes. Through community programs and advocacy, we promote feline welfare and strengthen the bond between cats and people.
