Feline Rescue and Adoption Center

Low Cost Spay & Neuter

What is it?

The Fraser Valley Humane Society is fortunate to receive funding from BC Gaming to be able to offer low-cost spays and neuters to self-identified low income individuals that wish to have their cats and kittens spayed or neutered. Being able to offer this program to members of our community makes a huge impact in the health of beloved pets while also helping to control the overpopulation of cats in the area.

The program is only available when funding has been granted to the FVHS, but we do keep a running Wait List in times when the program is on hold. As of January 2026 we have full funding and are accepting applications for the program.

Who is eligible?

All residents of Mission and Abbotsford that self-identify as low-income and wish to have their cat(s) or kitten(s) spayed and neutered are eligible. We may request proof of address to ensure eligibility.

What’s included?

Program Includes:

  • Vet exam
  • Spay or neuter surgery
  • Microchip
  • FVRCP vaccine
  • Flea treatment & dewormer
  • Post-op medication
